Restarting the server

Post by JonParis » Fri Mar 23, 2012 5:27 am

My Longreach server did not restart after an IPL and I cannot find anything in the documentation to tell me how to restart it.

What am I missing?

All LongReach IFS files are in the /longreach folder.
All LongReach OS/400 objects are in the LONGREACH library.
Check LONGREACH/LONGREACH output queue for error messages.
Check the /longreach/jsm/instance/trace directory for trace files.
Login in as longreach admin user LONGADM to administer the longreach instance.
Every time the LONGREACH jobs start a spooled file will be add to the LONGREACH output queue.
Every time the LONGREACH jobs start trace files are added to the /longreach/jsm/instance/trace folder.
You need to periodically clear the output queue and clear the trace files.

Hi Jon,
The LONGREACH subsystem has an AutoStart job that will start all of the necessary LONGREACH jobs.
If you can email longreach.sandbox@lansa.com.au with your specifics, I can guide you through.
Regards, Stephen Gilchrist
