I've experimented with both the original 1.0 and, this weekend, the enhanced 1.1 versions. I'm glad to see the file names included in the data queue entries - that definitely helps minimize the coding for the workflow processing. One thing that troubled me in the initial version (and still troubles ...

Version 1.0 only sends the folder
Version 1.1 sends all selected files.

Inbound notification support
In your shipped version of the httpd.xml file, you have 2 notify commands commented out. <!-- <notify queue='/QSYS.LIB/TSTLIB.LIB/NOTIFY2.DTAQ' key='{NAME}' data='{FOLDER}'/> <notify queue='/QSYS.LIB/TSTLIB.LIB/NOTIFY1.DTAQ' key='' data='{NAME},{FOLDER}'/> --> I'm experimenting and it appears that o...

Re: File transfer with notify
Note: LongReach Server 1.0 only supports adding the parent folder name to the data queue. The next release of LongReach Server will add each file to the data queue. That's great to know at this point Alick! Without the file name at this point, the integration would be more complicated; but with som...

Cut/Paste/Sync?
I'm experimenting on the app side. I created a loc file in the home folder and sent it to the server. I then created a new folder, cut and pasted the loc file into the new folder and sent it all the to server. Even after refreshing the home list of folders, that loc file still shows up. How/when wil...

Re: File transfer with notify
Bryan,
The file to update is httpd.xml
There are many ways to update this file on the IFS. But on the green-screen, using the LONGADM profile to log in, one can execute this command:
EDTF STMF('/longreach/jsm/instance/system/httpd.xml')
HTH, *bg

Re: Remote controls?
I've been thinking quite a bit about this subject the last few days - especially given the initial feedback from the folks from the North American team (separate emails before I learned of this forum). I would like to modify/withdraw my suggestion. The requirement is there - no doubt in my mind; how...
